?Mrs.Vengeance? questioned:
If their dog seems to be dieing, why dont they go straight to the vet?
They sit on their freaking computer asking us when we cant even see or examine the dogs.
Theire ‘beloved’ pet is dieing, and if its serius, there often isnt a home remedy.
Why are people so stupid?
Do you agree?
don’t have a spazz attack.
I questioned this once and got hateful answers. Some people want to act like they are caring by coming on here, but don’t care enough to go to the vet – that costs money.
going to the vet can be costly yes but i agree with you their first priorty should be their animal getting the best attention you can get for it. hope you don’t get any nasty answers. bless
i reckon its because a vet costs money so they would question people first….
Yes, it is really stupid sometimes, if someone questions “I reckon my dog ingested rat poison…what should I do?” Seriously get of the da** computer and bring your dog to the vet! Don’t waste your time asking us what we reckon you should do, when your dog is dying in the next room…seriously. >.< It’s so stupid what some people do.
Sometimes they just need to question simple questions…sometimes the vets are closed.
Not every area has an Emergency vet around.
Not everyone realizes that you can call your veterinary office and describe your pets problem…and itf they have knowledgable friendly staff they will be able to tell you if it is something that needs to be seen, or if you are able to help it at home.
Not everyone has 2000 dollars in their bank account to go to the vet for everything.
I personally would sell a kidney to pay for something for my lilly beans….but then again I work for a vet, so it’s not really a problem for me.
Some people just need advice…information to get them through the night till they can go to the vet.
Yes, I do agree. Worse, they nearly always say, “Don’t tell me to call the vet.” What next? When their kids start throwing up blood and having distress breathing are they going to question us to diagnose and fix that, too? The only reason I answer is because I feel so sorry for the poor dog, I’m worried it might be his/her only chance.
Yes, a vet costs money, but so does everything in life, and you choose your priorities. Where your money is, there your heart will be also, so if they’re choosing to place their money elsewhere, it’s because that’s what’s more vital to them.
I don’t reckon it’s just money, though. I reckon we have raised an entire generation who live in an imaginary online world. Whereas people used to look to their friends or their family doctor or vet for advice, they now look to total strangers on the internet. This is their community. We can only hope we can be of some help, in some way.
I’m on your side.
And frankly, if we give veterinary advise here, we are guilt of dispensing Veterinary Medicine without a license, something highly frowned upon by the profession.
And the scariest part is, some of the ‘advice’ dispensed here would end up killing the dog….
I agree some people are stupid…………
you have those who are playing around
.those who are trying to save a buck (tight wads)
and lots not educated (duh)
People reckon you get a dog play with it a couple of time then place it in a corner like an ancient rug, until they have a terrible day and the FORGIVING dog wags it’s tail at them (on and on and on)
I agree that this is a problem that we see faaar too often on here. I don’t EVER mind answering questions for people, even if they’re questions about possibly serious conditions/problems, but it’s for the ANIMALS, not for the (sometimes) lousy owners. But, in the defense of some of the people on here, not EVERYwhere has an emergency vet clinic, and a lot of areas don’t have vets who will take payments or finance bills, and if you don’t have the money, they may not take you in. People do this because by human nature, if you can save a buck, most will do it.
No,I do not agree with you at all.If it is 1:00am and my dog starts to get violently ill then there is nothing I can do for him because my town is small and there is no vets in this town at all and the closes vet is 40 miles and ER vet is nearly 60miles.I have 6 kids. How am I gonna pack 6 kids in the car at 1:00am to drive over a hour to a ER vet? If I can question a question and majority of people can answer me and say it is safe to wait until in the morning then I am pleased with their answers. No they can not see my dog but can give advice. Why are you so huffy on this subject. If you dont like it then dont come to pet section.
A lot of people who question questions like that are young, they don’t have access to the vet, and could be blowing a problem out of proportion. There are also people who have animals and simply cannot afford vets.
Criticizeing them isn’t going to help anything, and in my opinion, you are wasting space here yourself. There obviously are people who are worried about their animal, ‘stupid’, young, or poor, they have their reasons.
I agree that some of the people on here shouldn’t have dogs. Either they are to duh-duh-duh to have one, and don’t do research before getting a dog that they can handle and then don’t even train it, or they just ignore it, or they cant afford it. I reckon that everyone should have to take an IQ test and go to classes before having kids or dogs. If u arnt going to walk ur dog every day and treat it like u would a child, which includes taking it to the vet when sick, then get a cat, which are much simpler and ignore u half the time! And if u cant afford a dog, then it is simple dont get one. Just like people shouldnt have 10 kids that they cant afford.
I don’t come in here very often and was just wondering the same thing. They seem to like their pets but won’t seek help for them with a professional
honestly because a lot of vets charge an arm and a lef and if you do find a cheap vet they may not be the best, in fact they can be terrible it is hard to find a cheap vet that is a excellent one. plus a lot of people care for and treat their own animals, so long as it is non surgical i will take care of it for mine. I have fixed sinus infections, dehydration, constipation, colds, i helped control pleased tail syndrom, at least the bleeding, and much more. It all depends on your experience. Yeah you can question someone that has never dealt with it and they can answer or you can get someone that can help. they are just looking for a cheap way to fix their pet, i treat my animals the same way i treat myself, if i can fix it fantastic, if not ill bit the bullet.
Yep…..sheer STUPIDITY. CAN’T learn anything? REFUSE to?
Plus too freaking Bone idle & cheap?
Can’t find a PHONEBOOK to look up VETS NUMBERS??
&….you have to factor in the number of nitwits who are just PLAYING here!!! Trolls.
‘Course there are the imbeciles who’ll call an AMBULANCE for a HANG-NAIL,dear. lmao
SO sad & scary,ain’t it?
Your question is the most intelligent one I’ve seen in a long time. Some of these health questions are kinda scary.
